　昨日は悲しいことがありました。このパソコンを買って三年間ほどほとんど毎日メールしていた先輩に、メールをすることを断られました。その理由は定かではないのですが、推測するに僕の大阪批判、神戸の礼賛に嫌気が差したようです。その人はちょうど真ん中の西宮に住んでいます。僕が一週間に三、四度神戸へ行きその大阪との人間気質の違いをうるさいほど表現し、読ませようとするところに嫌気が差したものと見受けられます。昨日書いたこととしては大阪は「芸は教えてもらうんじゃなく盗め」という言葉があるように、そのほうが受身ではなく積極的に学ぶと言う姿勢があって良いとも取れます。しかし人間生活には「盗む」と言うのと対極の「与えられる」、「教えられる」と言うことも必要です。盗むと言うことからは感謝と言う気持ちは生じず、実際は人からしてもらったことなのに自分でしたと言う傲慢や自信過剰を生みます。こういう前者の気質が大阪に多く、後者の人への感謝の気持ちは神戸のほうがよく持っているということをメールに書きました。確かに神戸を好む人からはなるほどと受け取られるでしょうが、大阪びいきの人からは「そんなことない」と言われるかもしれません。ひょっとしたらその先輩にも大阪の知り合いがいて僕が大阪人気質を批判するゆえ、偏向と言うか怖いものを感じ「こいつと付き合っていたら大阪人に嫌われてしまうぞ」と言う危険を感じたのかもしれません。僕自身中学から大学まで十年間西宮の関学で生活し、神戸、西宮を含む阪神間は地元大阪以上に親しみを感じている地域です。だからこの「取ったり、盗む」ばかりでなく、「与え、教えられよ」と言う言葉には、僕の大阪へのこうあって欲しいと言う何にもましての願いがあります。だからその先輩にも今すぐは無理ですが一週間ほど間を空けて電話し、何とか誤解を解いて仲直りしたいと思っています。
